The Youth Outdoor Skills Class is designed to teach young individuals the fundamental skills necessary to thrive in the great outdoors. Our hands-on program provides practical training in various survival techniques, fostering confidence, self-reliance, and a deep appreciation for nature. Program Highlights:
1. Fire Building: Learn the art and science of building a fire in the wilderness. Our instructors teach different methods for starting a fire using various materials and techniques. Participants will practice building and maintaining a fire safely, an essential skill for warmth, cooking, and signaling for help.
2. Emergency First Aid: Equip yourself with basic first aid skills to handle emergencies in the wild. This segment covers essential medical techniques such as wound care, treating burns, handling fractures, and managing common outdoor injuries. Knowing how to provide immediate care can make a crucial difference in survival situations.
3. Emergency Shelter Construction: Understand how to construct effective emergency shelters using natural materials and minimal equipment.
